BBCode CSS wrap, version InvisionPower.Board 3.0
Product ID:
nex_bbcode_wrap_ipb3
Product Version:
1.0.0
Will replace all your original bbcode wrappers to a CSS based template based on the new InvisionPower.Board 3.0 look.
here are the examples *(screenshot is because i may change the wrapper anytime for demos, so you are sure to see it): ![]() To take advantage of the MySQL bbcode, you need this: http://vbenhancer.com/vbe-compliment...hlighter/5141/ note: 08/24/09, updated, will now use the $stylevar[codeblockwidth], so it does not overflow on your postbit, and you can set the Code Block Width of all your styles to anything like 100%, 540px, or just 540, like originally... any width will fit.. Thanks to Shelley. |

as you can see, for the mysql and php, i use the official colors for each projects, as you can see by visiting mysql.com and php.net ....
![]() the html and code blocks are colored by inspiration because IPB does not have anything for these two *(either)... Here is the original version of IPB 3.0 Quotes: ![]() i'l not adding the background quote image that you can see on the IPB version of the quotes, because it would be a copyright infrigement, and you know me, i'm against all these... you can copy them if you like and modify the CSS accordingly. and a difference with the IPB quote, i can not add the date in the quote title as they do, because vBulletin does not provide the date, just the username... sorry! |

Shame about the quotes. Just installed this (after styling my very own curved quote box) but would much rather have all tags styled so opted for this.
Had a small issue (if you can call it that) with the code breaking the style layout so adjusted the .bbcode_wrap width accordingly. A suggestion, I noticed the viewpost icon comes before the last ". I think the icon should come after. Otherwise, a nice enhancement. |

yeah, it may break your style, as it is not by default.. i did not add the value of block width, i will add it to the next upload i do, so people can put a 100% if they want, instead of the forced pixel width of the old technique.
and that's bad, we need to rebuild the posts cache to make this work, i forgot to indicate it, ... not all sites used the cached posts, but if you do, it's ugly at first, only the new posts would see the blocks properly... |

Thanks Nexy,
Just a reminder to myself more than anything. The screenshot below explains it. The last quotation in the quote box would look so much better coming before the viewpost.gif (magnify Spyglass in the screenshot) with the spyglass/icon coming after the quotation as it would look much neater and organized. I prefer actually waiting and upload the xml file if you decide to do this nexy rather than me make edits. Just another suggestion (not sure how you feel about this) the code box would also look nice with an icon that appropriately suits the code box (maybe a cog) I have one at hand that would suit and I would also feel the other boxes would look nice with a nice png icon beside the respected text. Looking at the screenshot the icon might even look better residing before the text titled "code". I know this is ipb3 but I think there's no golden rule why we can improve on the visual. I know, I'm getting anal about the minute things. I like things to look organized and neat. Regardless. I think this looks prity neat on vbsmiley and so much better than the ugly default visuals vb lumber us with.

you are right about the look of it, but as you say yourself, it's more to the designer to change the details, so you can customize it as you wish...
![]() i did not edit it too much because i wanted to release these "replicates" of the original styles, as people are always asking for them "as is"... btw Shelley, free to you to modify these styles and create brighter versions that you can release here...

Yeah I thought that might be the case leaving it as the original. I've started on the code box and eventually I got it looking the way I thought it would look best. (screenshot below).
I won't release these modified versions because it's not my work nexy what I will do is transfer the modified xml to you and you can post it if you think it's worth posting and others want the modified versions. ![]()

I don't know whether your aware of this or viewed the script through IE8 but it stretches and breaks the postbit. I reverted all my changes and even check the default vbulletin install and it's still occurring. Not sure whether anyone else is experiencing this in IE8.
I set the width to 640px which is well within limits of the postbit breaking but it vears off to the right. Php box is doing the same and expect the others are also apart from the quote box. If you need a screen shot or a link let me know nexy. |
